Perfectly fine idea, but my preference would be for this place to stay compartmentalized. I'm not a complete nut about it, but, "so, does anyone have any Star Trek topics they would like to discuss", is clearly way way over the line. I don't have troubles discussing anything with anybody. I have developed opinions on politics, religion, etc., and I have other interests than computer chess. But I am fairly careful not to discuss these issues here, since people should be allowed to be undistracted by my off-topic rantings. bruce
