Thanks for clarifying. I mixed that up since it was freely available via the CSS website. What would be a good alternative description? "Best program available for free"? However, if everyone can download it off a website (approved by its author), it's "free", though it may not be 'freeware' (as a legal term). BTW: isn't this maybe the definition of "Public Domain software" as opposed to "freeware" (see below)? When an author allows his program to be distributed for free in one way or the other, yet declares it "not freeware", he typically wants to prevent other people from making money with it by including it in software collections (as could legally be done with "freeware") which are not free themselves. --- Shep
