I think that the second rate move (based on knowing your opponent is human) is
what will happen (I do not think there are any forced draws). In either case,
playing chess against a computer will have the same thrill as trying to race a
person against a motorcycle on a one mile track. It won't happen anymore because
the humans will be unable to fairly compete.

But, humans will still play against humans (even if a different game such as
fischer random comes along) for a real long time after computers can beat them
hands down (but we will have to find ways to prevent people from using computers
to win at tournaments and over the net).

People did not stop playing checkers just because a program is now World Champ.
