I think that 2 is probably true but with a huge Liapunov exponent, i.e. a huge instabilty such that a minimal variation in early moves, to a narrow family of draw paths, will lead to a fatal end won by one of the two sides. that's why it is so fun, wouldn't be much interesting to go on with a Tic-Tac-Toe like game were draws are predominant. regards Franz
