This accounts for the good results in test suites and poor results in Comp v Comp. This development route would also seem to be the tact of Chess Tiger as well. It is _relatively_ easy to add positional knowledge to a program and I would therefore expect LGGold to improve significantly in Comp v Comp matches over the next couple of years. Steve Maughan
