Humans are good at long range planning and computers are good at short-range tactical "snacking" on enemy pieces. I think it will take a while for people to get a good 'cybernetic' relationship in playing the game of chess, but it could actually result in much better play. I like the idea, because what interests me is the soundest possible move from any given position. The human will see the long term benefits/pitfalls and the computer will see the short term benefits/pitfalls.
