My program is not co-champion because there were tie-break rules and they were
followed to the letter, I made sure.

You can talk all you want about pairings and lucky results and any other form of
nonsense, but I don't think it does justice to anyone.  There are always
inequities, and you need to accept this at the point you get on the plane.

I went 4600 miles and did the best I could in several regards.  I don't really
hope to have to listen for the next year or so to people complain about my
pairings or call me stupid because my program blew an advantage twice against
Shredder or got wiped out by Hiarcs or had unimpressive wins against Diep, SOS,
Francesca, or Gromit.

Sorry, but Junior didn't win this time.  Better luck next time.
