Subject: 2265 Uscf Master Trashes Hiarcs 6.0!!! ???

Hi CCC

I have Started a six game match at game/60 between a friend of mine who is
rated uscf 2265 and hiarcs 6. My machine is a cyrix 233 with 16mb ram. My
purpose for having the match is I wanted to see how my program would fair
against a mid level master. I have to admitt I am pretty astonished at the
result of game one. I assumed that hiarcs would slaughter a master rated only
2265. Unfortunatley the master one rather easily. He made some mistakes that
allowed hiarcs to come back at a later stage of the game. It then reached a draw
bishops of opposite color endgame which is miserably mishandled to lose the
game. 56. Bxg4??? was the losing move for hiarcs. It also played quite lousy
in the opening it made time wasting queen moves at 17. Qg3? 20.Qf3?? when Rc1
was called for. This game was a real disappointed , I had been bragging to my
friend about how well hiarcs plays positionally and how great it's endgame is.
Here is the game.
