i have owned chess challenger 9 cm2100 psion cm2100 goes from extremely weak 1650+ on old 4mhz pc to better than 2300 on a mII 300 mhz , i figure this because of the results against rated computers. chess challenger 9 is around 1800+ i have played lots of games with this. psion is very strange , it seems to be strong no matter what ? i once played a game psion vs mach Iv on a old 4 mhz pc . i was shocked when psion won .psion also has an odd style . as for crafty i only have version 16.8 its really strong . i only have two programs that can beat it . i know you wanted source ect . but having owned several of them you can believe i have played the ones i have stated at least 300 to 400 each plus i play tons of comp vs comp to get a feel of the power of program .
