I have recently written some of my thoughts and ideas
concerning the current state and future of Galahad on
my website.

http://home.fda.net/~wzrdking/galahad.htm

Most of you probably don't know anything about Galahad,
so to give you a brief introduction:

1. The engine is private, at least for now. I will not budge
    on this; don't try.

2. plays under the ICC handle 'jlong'

3. current blitz rating is 2500, but probably belongs
somewhere in the mid 24 range.

4. traditional program: a/b, books, tablebases,
    pondering ...

5. bitmap based

6. is the successor to 'Tristram', which was and is
    freeware, but is much weaker

7. winboard compatible (well, mostly)

If you wanna know more, you'll have to read for yourself.

The site is nothing fancy, but hopefully somebody somewhere
will enjoy reading it. Just a product of having a lot of time
and no compiler/code to work on.
