I work on an ALPHA daily as an DBA, using VMS 7.1. It has 2 Gig memory but the filesize is limited to 4 Gig. But this is caused by the OS which does not support 64 bit technology. By the way the alpha can have multiple processors, so how about a chess program which uses 4 processors, and 1 gig or more hashtable on a 64 bit OS. Wouldn't that improve the results ? Greetinx and I think the ALPHA is a great machine !
