Subject: A. Karpow is _IN_ Las Vegas!

Hi you out there!

After his match against Shredder in Dortmund Karpow anounced
that he will take part in the championship in Las Vegas from July, 31st to
29th of August. I think it is good, because that means that we will have
a new world champion in September who is stronger than Karpow and so _really_
earning the title. Karpow's time is over, and it has been so for the past one or
two years. A player who is ranked on position seven or nine in the list can not
claim to be the world champion.
Just remember the match against Anand in Lausanne: I really disliked these
extra-conditions that has been there for Karpow: only taking part in one last
match, at full strength and totally relaxed! If he would have played all the
tournament (like he will in Las Vegas) he would be kicked out in the quarter- or
semifinals by somebody like Adams, Topalev or Vishy.

I hope that Anand will be the next champion because I like him and simply
because after two times vize-champion it is his turn now! And I hope that there
will be a match to unify the two organization PCA and Fide (if Garry agrees).

We will see.

Greetings

Klaus E.
