Allan,

I'm not sure if you meant Crafty1.

I have downloaded various versions of crafty and at first I used the
downloadable instruction manual to play the system in DOS. It is a text based
system with no integral graphics interface.

However recently I have managed to crack how to use Crafty with the Winboard
engine.

The Crafty dowload site also has two opening books that can be switched into the
system. The books vary in size and hence download time and disc storage space.

There is sufficient read me files on the crafty site to determine how to link
the books to the engine and play under DOS.

The winboard works well but i haven't determined how to link the books with the
winboard.

Type 'winboard' in a search engine like Lycos or Yahoo and one web page will be
found that completely guides on linking Crafty with the Winboard. The info is
invaluable and does work first time, for me anyway.

Hope this helps.

Keith
