Bob, Sorry, but it's hopeless. You can post a warning about the unreliability of single computer tests every day. It will not matter. Most people do not have 2 computers; they want to run matches between various programs because it's fun; they simply will not recognize the disparity between their results and 2-computer results as being a reason to question their validity because that would be admitting that much of their effort has been a waste of time, at least in determining relative playing strengths of the programs. Engine v engine tests in one computer will be with us forever, more or less. eric
