It should work as any other version of crafty does.  The only real changes I
make are a few initializations and I make internal tables larger.

There are environmental variables you can set so that crafty can find the
opening book, tablebase files, etc.  This is discussed in Crafty's FAQ.  As far
as using crafty with Winboard, that is discussed in the Winboard FAQ.
