Hi Eugene, I think the idea here is to analyze the positions and when a pawn has sucessfully broken through and promotes and can do so 2 moves sooner then the opposing side stop the analysis and record that position. More then likely any of the powerful machines out here today can turn that into a victory with a high degree of certainty I suspect. To get a deep analysis one might, take the pawn which has just been promoted off the board but flag it so as to keep track of the promotion and look for the second break through promotion of the same side before the other side can promote a piece. If it occurs before the other side promotes great. Following this scheme will lead to a much deeper analysis and trim down the number of nodes one comes across dealing with promoted queens.
