Hello,
Someone may be able to give you a better answer because I have only generated a
few 5 man tablebases. It takes longer to generate them than it does to download
them with a 56k modem from Hyatt's site. I rember the first 5 man I generated
took almost 24 hours.(Yes, 1 tablebase) Forgot which one it was. The 3/4 can
be generated quickly but they also can be downloaded quickly. Some 5 man
tablebases take more than 512Meg ram. I believe Mr Nalimov said you can do it
with less memory but disk swapping takes place and that takes even longer.
My modem only downloads about 12 Meg/hour and you can figure what a 96Meg
tablebase takes from that but it's still quicker than generating them.
