Maybe the answer is in the history of the game. A chess game is an historic
process where each episode has a meaning in a global development. And then, what
is more important in this hstory as the quality of the previous moves made by
the opponent? As Bob said, if it is Shirov who play, you take as a matter of
fact that he does not hang pieces and you look very carefully everu "mistake" of
Mr. If it is not Shirov, the proram anyway could get some grasp of the Who is
Who by the quality of previous moves. I mean, if a human has played very good
moves, the program should be self-setted to analyze the most the most weird
moves, no less. Intuition, of course, cannot be imitated, but also a car does
not need to imitate legs movement to run. Some even akward clasification of
weird moves -and or captures-on the ground of where they happens and wo played
them maybe could avid some abstract, general rules and then sometimes times
silly rules to use this or that time with "easy moves".
