For a quick ranked list of active computer players, type "cbest". Each computer
is supposed to put their software and platform in their finger notes. You can
get a comprehensive (but outdated) list of computers by typing "=computer". You
can also type "help computerlist" for an even more outdated list.

There are several interfaces which connect to a server and filter only the
relevant messages down to the engine: WinBoard/XBoard in Zippy mode and
RoboFICS on 32-bit Windows and Unix, InterfaceTest on the Mac. Some other
authors have their own custom interfaces. To find out what a particular
computer uses, type "var <computername>" and look at the "Interface" variable
setting. Each interface has its own protocol, finger Mann, Hawk, and
InterfaceTest for pointers to details.
