Subject: Hiarcs 7.32 vs Nimzo '99a (Bullet ??) on auto 232

Overnight I played 174 games with time control of game in 1 minute. These were
auto 232 games with Hiarcs on a PII-333 and Nimzo '99a on a K6-3-450. The score
according to the crosstable was 87.5-86.5 in favor of Hiarcs 7.32. After
checking the games for time control violations I find the score is 149-25 in
favor of Hiarcs 7.32. The problem is Nimzo seems to be programed to play only
about 50 moves/minute. So most all games over 60 moves were actually won by
hiarcs on time. In one game of 184 moves Nimzo had used 4:04 and Hiarcs had
actually used 1:01. This is the only game of more than 2000 in which Hiarcs has
overstepped the stated time control. Conclusion: If you give a program all the
time it wants to play the game and ignore the time controls, it may do pretty
good!

P.S. Tonight it will be Hiarcs vs Junior 5.0 (Game/1)
