If the battered wife syndrome was brought up, it was not a matter of cultural
hauteur (watch the spelling) stemming from Fernando, as the battered wife
syndrome is a typically Anglo-Saxon syndrome.  Thus, it has nothing whatsoever
to do with Santiago de Chile.  If Thorsten's illustration was clumsy, it did not
merit a deletion but well-worded criticism.  We are all clumsy from time to
time, aren't we?
