Hi

Would it be to much to ask to get the programmers of this group to give an
approximate elo guess of where they think computers are in terms of elo
strength? As far as I know this is where they are (my info could be faulty
here, this is based on bits of information i have gathered on ccc, rgcc, and my
interpretation of that information.

1. Robert Hyatt - correct me if I am wrong 2450elo
2. Bruce Moreland - Not sure, I think he leans in the hyatt camp
3. Ed Schoeder- I think there are some indications that he believes computers
are close to GM strength
4. Amir Ban - Solidly in the GM Camp
5. Larry kaufman- Defintely in the GM Camp
6.Christopher (chess tiger) - no idea, haven't heard any comments from him on
this issue.
7. Mark uniake- never around so I have no idea, but would be interested in
hearing his views. No doubt I am leaving many out, simply because i am unaware
that they are programmers.

Ofcourse the majority are closet Computer-GM devotees but will not publicly say
they are, so they don't appear to be "irresonpsible"
