-9 is a safe value.  I have won games being down -5, and lost games being up
+5.  I also don't resign when the score trips the wire... it must trip it for
multiple consecutive moves to make sure I didn't find a killer move that my
opponent didn't see...  ie in normal play, the score must be < -9.00 for five
moves in a row.  Against GM players, I drop this to -5 for 3 moves in a row
and on occasion use -3 for 3 moves in a row...
