In both matches I knew before hand that the commercail programs would win, because I had played hundreds of games against Crafty and could calculate even running with a huge speed advantage Crafty had little to no chance of winning. Those days are now gone, I have seen much improvment in crafty since then. It is much closer to the top programs in strength on equal hardware let alone on a Quad PII 400. It is not yet in the same class as Hiarcs, but it is much closer then many people think.
