After experimenting, I presume you refer to the site:

since I also use Netscape, and have the same problem with this site,
and not with the other site I mentioned:
http://dmoz.org/Games/Board_Games/Chess/Software/Macintosh/
(I also use Netscape).

No, I didn't make that site, but I have seen that behaviour with
several sites (and very annoying it is). The "Go" menu is the easiest
way I've found to back out of such sites. I don't know whether this
behaviour is peculiar to Netscape or not.
