Itamar Faybish posted this to rec.puzzles... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Here is one of the most beautiful study i have come to know. It is the only study to be awarded 4/4 by three judges in the FIDE album of 1986-88; it also won 1st prize in a tournament (Chakhmati v SSSR), it is by V.Anoufriev & B.Goussev. It is not only beautiful with respect to its elegant answer, but also to its very few pieces (just 7 in total) making it an endgame beauty. White: Kg7, Bh2, Ph7, Pg6 Black: Kd4, Ba1, Pa2 White to play and draw ----------------------------------------------------------------- 8/6KP/6P1/8/3k4/8/p6B/b7 w It seems to be beyond *my* program's ability to solve. Anybody?
