That was IBM marketing hyperbole.  The SP2 was programmed for chemical analysis,
the DB chips would not be able to do that in any form.  So from a marketing
perspective, they told a half-truth to extract a bit more from the advertising
potential of DB's name.  But DB isn't doing chemical analysis... any more than
Crafty is scheduling airline reservations.  It plays chess.  Or it sits.
Nothing else.
