I tried the diagnostic rating exam, test 1, checkmates. It went fine until I attempted number 6/7. I tried the move h2+. This was flagged as incorrect. I was then asked "what is the reply to Rxe2? " First of all, Re2 is not a capture in this position. Second, the King is in check. I replied Pawn takes King and promoted the Pawn to a Queen. The program then moved my new Queen to f1, saying "3.Kf1". I thought you might be amused. Also, I'm curious to see if this occurs on anyone else's computer. What other crazy things is CM7000 doing? I'm probably going to return my copy and stick with CM6000. -TO'
