Subject: Nimzo 7.32 at Thuringer

Evidently, in the 2 tournaments at Thuringer, out of a total of 13 rounds
N7.32 was unable to win a single game, and lost more than it drew.
I went to the Chessbits site, and read Mr.Kaestner's review of the
tournaments and if my German isn't too rusty I understand it to say that
all of the partipants agreed Nimzo played unbelievably badly and that its
failure
could not be blamed on the tournament conditions which allowed Nimzo to
play at its default settings on a 500 pentium in the first tournament
and a 266 pentium in the second.
Given that Nimzo is currently leading F5.32 in the SSDF games and has
done very well in a couple of recently reported tournaments posted
here recently, I don't understand this. Is it possible that a program
could be so incredibly unlucky over 13 rounds as to play a couple of
lightyears below its rating?
