These these positions appeared in my two latest 40moves/2hours games at the club championship. They are highly tactical in their nature. I have tested them on some programs and the evaluations of some of the programs are less than accurate. In the first position black felt forced to play Qxh4 is white winning, or is it merly a draw? Does your program play Qxh4? 2br3r/p5k1/3b4/2pPp1pq/Pp2Q1PP/4NP2/1PB5/R2R2K1 b - - 0 1 In the second position the move is obvious, or not? r2q2k1/pp4b1/3np2r/3p1p2/3P1P2/2N1PBK1/PP5Q/2R4R w - - 0 1 Does your program find Qxh6 and in reasonable time and with a correct evaluation, better for white? The really interesting thing about the second position is that I spent half an hour four moves earlier and the sac. was made instantly. Doing the checking out of the combination in question early, I dont think any computers work that way. Regards Dan Andersson
