Too bad this is not downloadable in a spreadsheet format. One could then obtain some quick stats. Average elo, elo based on age groupings(if ages are given in the data), average of top 50, bottom 100, of those still active ... At a glance the average elo of GMs looks about 2520 +-20. One stat that would interest me most is, what is the average elo of the GM's when they were first granted the GM title? I think that would give a nice entry level number on what type of strength is required to join the elite GM crowd.
