Ed:
I just received my copy of Rebel Century and I can tell you that the Club Player
level is maybe the best handicapped mode I have played. For example, the
1600-1900 Chessmaster personalities tend to play really weak on the middle game
and then play quite good endgames. Hiarcs 7.32, rated at 1800, makes weird moves
(it submits itself to a kind of voluntary Zugzwang). Fritz 5.32, rated at 1850
plays terrible endings. Rebel's Club Player personality is, by far, the most
realistic and fun computer opponent I have found so far.
