I went to the website where the Carlos Torre tournament was held to see IM
Russek's performance. In the first round he tied a low ranked player (Miranda,
ranked 79 by rating in the tournament). In the second round, he beat Ortega, a
player ranked 86 by rating. In round 3, he beat an expert, ranked number 63 by
rating. In round 4, he beat GM Vallejo (2515). In round 5, he tied with GM
Miles (2585). In round 6 he tied with GM Vera. In round 7, he lost to GM
Christiansen. In round 8 he tied with Estrada. I don't know his result from
round 9, but my guess is that he didn't win, since he wasn't listed among the
players with 6 points at the end of the tournament. So, my guess is that his
performance was above his rating of 2395, but not by much. I don't know all the
ratings to determine that.
