The L2 cashe on the fastest Athlons run an 2/5 and not 1/2 clock speed thats a factor too. I.E. cashe misses become more expensive, no worry. Athlon Mustang will have a full speed cashe. Thus giving you a speed increase at same clock speeds. Strange effects abound when a seventh generation CPU design is coupled w. an old cashe design. Regards Dan Andersson
