Interested? Of course! But just falling for the same traps Ruy Lopez did when he was a suckling baby is not sufficient to massage my ego. No. I want Moron 1.0 (I think it should really be Moron 0.001 BTW) to fall for those very same traps but for very deep reasons. So, just before you played that ridiculously obvious fork on c7 between the uncastled king and the rook on a8, the program would say something like this: "You are now finished. Your knight has foolishly moved a second time, going against all the basic principles of development, while I strive to build up greater central control, and increase the pressure on your position. Naturally, as a result, you will be slowly forced to ever greater passivity as your pieces are reduced to defensive roles, and with this my space will permit me to mount an unstoppable attack against your king. As you desperately try to confuse me with cheap tactics in order to forfend your inevitable doom, I will condescendingly ignore these 'threats' in the tradition of emotionless silicon-based opponents. Therefore resigning now might be your most honorable option." Then of course, you would just win the rook and have it kibitz the memorable: "If it weren't for that trick I would have been completely winning positionally. Anyone with half the brain of a monkey could see that." Albert Silver
