No they aren't. To be called a GM, they need three tournaments with a TPR
of 2600, plus they must maintain a FIDE rating of 2500 for the entire time
they are working on those norms.  2500 won't cut it at all, as you can't
get three 2600 norms (very easily) while only keeping a 2500 rating.  I still
stick with 2450... and I think that is an amazing number, IMHO.
