Hello Bob, I can not understand that in reports and tournaments for reports Crafty play weaker than on my PC ! Crafty is a good example because I think that the last Crafty versions play with ~ 2525 ELO or a little more ELO (comparable with SSDF Ratings). It is right that Crafty is at the moment the best "free" chess program and people thinking that the other free programs are very week :-)) So I play the Nunn Match with the Junior 6 GUI and Fisher Clock with AnMon against 3 TOP programs from Chess-Base ! The results: AMD K6-3 450 MHz, 16 MB for Hash, 10 + 1 Fisher clock, 4 pieces nalimov ! AnMon 5.03 - Nimzo 7-32 8,0 : 12,0 AnMon 5.03 - Hiarcs 7-32 3,5 : 16,5 AnMon 5.03 - Fritz 6 9,0 : 11,0 AnMon can not understand the fisher clock and this is furthermore a disadvantage for AnMon. And AnMon win 7 games under 30 moves ! All 3 Chess-Base TOP programs win 9 games under 30 moves ! A good result (Crafty play 50-75 ELO better than AnMon) for AnMon ! This results must behold with other eyes ! Christian Barreteau programmed 1-2 hours in the week and the TOP programmer ? Christian Barreteau has 1 PC for testing and the TOP programmer ? For Christian is chess programming a little hobby ! And ... and ... and ... And when I read an article (Kasparow club or Quisinsky club or Donald Duck club) and this stand in an article is this a good article. Stand in an article the amateurs are bad and the commercial are good see the 30 games :-))) is this not a good article. Bob the people know that !
