Kasparov only did what anyone would have done: trying to get the most out of the situation as he could. He is a professional chess player. Further, it seemed that IBM and the Deep Blue team were the ones that were afraid. They were in no hurry to give Kasparov a rematch. This was only a 6 game match. So don't start throwing stones at the world champion, who is, I might remind, in a strata most of us don't seem to appreciate. I hope he plays Deep whatever again a smashes it to bits--playing FIDE World Championship Rules, that is.
