Anger at yourself, perhaps (that's the best response, >but I didn't see this in them). Yes, this is probably how I would react. It is always the "fault" of the programmer(s) of the machine that gets beaten. Or the "fault" of the brilliancy of the other programmer(s). >This doesn't reflect on Hsu's ability to be >angry or belligerent in other situations. Of course that is true but the example serves as an indicator. I have a hard time to believe that if you can be stoic in such a situation that you lose your temper as badly as it was claimed. But of course characters are different and sometimes hard to understand since you are always looking from a different point of view at other persons. But since my personal experience "proves" to me that the claimed behaviour is "unlikely" and the claims about Mr Hsu´s behaviour are not accompanied with any supporting quotes from him I prefer to stick to my personal opinion which is at least backed up with personal experience. I am sure you understand that ? >But I think I read in your words something beyond that: That they were entitled >to be angry at their opponent for beating them ? No no no. You are grossly over interpreting my words. You are even twisting them, Amir. Never wanted to imply that. Frans had every right in the world to go out and kill that thing 8^) >Here they were, with the big >project, clear favorites to win the tournament, with a press conference tomorrow >about a Kasparov match, and the opponent doesn't even have the decency to lose. > >Amir
