As the Fredkin was actually won three different ways at the same time: (1) official USCF rating of 2551; (2) TPR over last 25 games of almost 2600; (3) TPR of best 25 game sequence of 2650. I don't know which one of the three was actually used (I think Berliner wanted to use 2551 as it was the _lowest" and wasn't so far ahead of HiTech. If you have access to Monty's book on the DB match, I think it had most if not all of the DB vs GM results. I will check next week. And there is nothing wrong with being a C-class player. It just means you will have problems telling the difference between a IM and GM player, if you are not given the names, just the games.. I don't think I could do it either... Although I am pretty good at picking out a computer from humans...
