Albert... I think you hit the nail on the head...
we tend to forgive almost anything (in a person) save success...
it still bothers me (every now and then) to this day that Kasparov lost to Deep
Blue...
how is it that Hsu was (is) so successful and then not have the 'audacity' <sp>
to share his knowledge with other folks...
i think Bob Hyatt saw this probably before any one else did...
i think its impressive that PCs are able to compete with GMs around the 2500
range... but... as Bob has pointed out many times... this is 'nothing' compared
to what Deep Blue did against Kasparov...
and it does tend to make us mad and get angry inside...
why are some folks so successful and others not as successful...
and when this gets pointed out by Bob and other folks... when tend to 'trip off
the line...'
