Look in Babbages or Electronic Boutique for in a bright yellow box called
something like "Learn Visual C++ Programming" which includes the learning
edition of MS VC++ 6.0. Its put out by Sams publishing I believe. It costs
around $39. It does not have all the features of the standard edition but until
you get deep into fancy GUI programming you probabily wont miss anything. It
does allow you to do GUI programming however.
