Could be the case now. But way back in the olden pentium days I managed to generate chess moves from a position in two thirds the time using a DSP running at about a fourth the clock speed of an pentium processor. Not scientific proof of course, but still they are underrated. The problem is the mental contortions one have to do to use a DSP API. Regards Dan Andersson
