Playing the Accelerated Dragon (to avoid the Yugoslav Attack), entails 2 risks.

1. Marcozy Bind. I do not know too many Dragon players who are comfortable
playing against this as black. Play is completely different in this variation
than what most Dragon players are looking for. The bind on d5 is quite
annoying.

2. In this line, 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 g6 5.Nc3 Bg7 6.Be3
Nf6 7.Bc4 Qa5 (to force white to play 8.0-0 and thus avoid the transposition
into the Yugoslav): I do not like these variations as black when compared to
the regular lines of the Classical Dragon where play is similar.

Neither the Dragon or Acc Dragon are easy to learn, but for the reasons above
I prefer the REAL Dragon. Of course the REAL man's defense is the Najdorf :)
That many world champions can't be wrong :)
