Amir Ban showed up briefly at the start of the 5th round of the ICC Computer Chess Tournament to announce that he is leaving the entire event because of an apparent grudge against Robert Hyatt. It seems there was a disagreement (we're not sure which one; our records indicate there have been a lot) with Prof. Hyatt and that Mr. Ban decided that the best solution was to dramatically announce he is screwing the tournament. By general consensus of the participants in channel 164 at the Internet Computer Chess Club, this behavior was unnecessarily childish. The decision to "take my toys and go home" was regarded at selfish, and a disservice to the rest of the tournament. Apparently Mr. Ban did not take into consideration the feelings of the other participants when he made his decision. Disclaimer: It is possible there is another way to look at this, but I don't see it. James
