I do not agree that it was the most idiotic statement ever made here.
I saw other idiotic statements.

I believe that part of the accusation was a misunderstanding.

Some people including me understood that Amir meant to imply that you wrote a
code intentionally to tell crafty to lose on time.

I understood later from Amir's posts(He admitted that he did a bad job in
explaining himself) that he only meant to say that crafty's behaviour in games
against computers is abusive(for example not agreeing to a draw) and that the
fact that crafty lost on time when it has nothing to lose from it is not only a
bad luck but a result of some problems in crafty's code
(It was discovered later that it was a tablebase bug).
