Subject: Doesn't 1.a5 simply win ?

1. a5 Bc7 ( or similar ) 2. Bd4 wins

1. ... Bg1 2. b5 Kf8 or whatso ever then

3. Be5 Ke7 ( or is there something better ? ) followed by Bb8 , b6 and a6 where
it seems Black has to sacrifice its Bishop to hold the pawn when remaining
material should be sufficient to win .

Not perfectly worked out at all ; just the ideas . I don't think Bxh3 works the
same way ; as after 1. Bxh3 gh 2. a5 Black has Bc7 with counterthreats like Bxg3
while in the starting position the knight on h3 is of no special worth IMHO.
