i do wonder why you play it out when you believe that slow programs are weaker, because they are slower. i mean: when you believe this, why testing ? just sort the programs in the order of NPS and you get the right order who wins your tournament. Or ? do i miss something ? so what are you measuring enrique ? elo ? strenght ? or something that is known before you even setup the first game: NPS. why measuring NPS when you know it before you test ? in fact you test how fast the search-generator generates the NPS. it is the fastest, it is the best. thats easy. you don't have to play one single game to find out about.
