On my 90mhz Intel PC, your compile was a bit faster than Dann's, I don't think his compiles do as well on these old computers. Pete Tom's compile Nodes: 534418 Best time: 29980 ms Nodes per second: 17825 Dann's method, my DJGPP run in Win95 Nodes: 534418 Best time: 77000 ms Nodes per second: 6940 run in all the way in Dos with "tscp > bench.txt" then "bench" & eventually "bye" Nodes: 534418 Best time: 75690 ms Nodes per second: 7060 tscp> Share and enjoy! Dann's compile Nodes: 534418 Best time: 30700 ms Nodes per second: 17407
