I guess I need to be more precise on this statement above.

Let me modify 2.

    2. Quad give about 3.75 times more speed than single processor.
According to latest SSDF statement the increase from 200 mhz
to 450 mhz leads to average increase of 79 pts. computer vs
computer. Linear extrapolation then implies 132 pt increase
when running quad instead of single cpu in computer vs. computer.

However, I sincerely doubt we get that much rating increase
when playing a GM. I will stand with my earlier guess of gaining
       30 - 50 pts. against a GM.
